I’ve always been passionate about art growing up however at a young age I never really knew that it would be a viable career choice. It seemed like something that you either did out of pure passion and became the cliche of the starving artist, or you were at the other end of the spectrum, reserved for only the true greats such as Da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Roy Lichenstein etc.
So art fell away as my main focus , however I was still compelled creatively, this led me on a journey through design and after receiving my Bachelor of Arts I began a 9 year career in the world of high-end Interior Design. Working on projects globally and for ultra-high net worth clients I was able to gain invaluable experience having my eyes opened to a new world. I loved it, my job enabled me to still create, hand draw and 3d visualise, the subjects may have been different but the process was the same. After years in the industry though, still creating art as a hobby, I found myself coming full-circle with a burning desire to make art my focus again.
This led me to leaving my design career and starting on my childhood dream of becoming a full-time artist, hopefully following in the footsteps of the greats!
I’m inspired constantly from all things around us, from the patterns of waves and sand to the intricate details and curves found on a classic car. My work features nature and automobilia and usually done as detailed large-scale pen and paper drawings.
